CLIMBING FOR EVERYONE

Høyt & Lavt is an great activity for the whole family. In our popular climbing park, you experience play, mastery and learning in the treetops. With us, you create new memories – together.

MINI-GOLF

Our new 12-hole mini golf course is beautifully situated by the river. Give it a challenge!

As an exotic bonus, you can sometimes see people from the “High & Low” climbing park soar on the zip line above you!

The price is NOK 50 per person, or NOK 200 for the whole family (regardless of how big your family is).

KAYAKING

We offer kayaking experiences on Krokstrand and the Helgeland coast.

the Setergrotta cave

How about an excursion to the renowned cave Setergrotta? A 50-minutes drive from Krokstrand will take you to the area.

The information board by the picnic area has a map and info about the many fine hiking opportunities here.

PLAYGROUND

In 2022, we have a new trampoline in our playground. All our guests are free to use the playground. It is open until 10 pm every evening.

FISHING – AND SWIMMING IN THE GIANTS’ CAULDRONS!

Silforsen is situated about 500 metres upstream from our campgrounds. Here you will find amazing glacial potholes in the river. These are also called “giants’ cauldrons” – and they are perfect for swimming.

The river also offers great fishing. Perhaps you’ll get a nice catch for dinner?

STJERNEN
ART & SILVER

We can strongly recommend a visit to this silversmith in Almlia. As a visitor you will experience great craftsmanship and a friendly host.

Stjernen Art & Silver is situated 25 km south of Krokstrand.

ARCTIC CIRCLE RACEWAY

This is certified as a national arena for road races. As a national arena, it’s in the good company of Ullevål Stadium, the Holmenkollen ski jump, the Viking Ship hall, and the alpine skiing facility at Kvitfjell.

The Arctic Circle Raceway is situated along highway E6, 40 km south of Krokstrand.

IN THE CITY…

The town of Mo i Rana is situated 60 km south of Krokstrand. With a population of 26,000 people, this is the third-largest town in Northern Norway.

In Mo i Rana you will find restaurants, hotels, cinemas, bowling alleys, a theatre and many other cultural offerings.

ACC MUSEUM

The Arctic Circle Classic Museum is situated along highway E6, next to a grocery store and an electric vehicle charging station, 40 km south of Krokstrand. We recommended a stop here for anyone who is keen to hear great stories.

The exhibition contains an amazing number of objects that have been restored – or in some cases are displayed exactly as they were found.

Here are many kinds of cars and bikes – both the kind with and without engines.

The exhibition is divided into different eras. One of the most popular sections deals with World War II.

VITENSENTER NORDLAND

Vitensenter Nordland is an science museum that offers unique hands-on learning opportunities. The installations and exhibitions are interactive and yield valuable insights into how various natural phenomena work in practice.

Vitensenter Nordland aims to foster increased knowledge and skill, and in the longer term contribute to recruitment and value creation in a variety of relevant sectors.

The whole family can participate in the many exciting activities.

THE ARCTIC CIRCLE CENTER

The Arctic Circle Centre is situated at Saltfjellet at 680 metres altitude, along highway E6 just 17 km north of Krokstrand. This is also where the Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park starts. Here, you are at the threshold of the Land of the Midnight Sun – enjoy the centre and the stark beauty of the surrounding scenery.

If you have time, the Arctic Circle Centre is a starting point for many exciting excursions.
