In 2021, the rooms on the floor above our café were renovated and upgraded to hotel standard. We offer five rooms with private bathrooms. Two smaller rooms have just a washbasin. Shared showers and toilets are in the hallway.

KAIAHUSET – A HOLIDAY HOME

Kaiahuset is a house that was built for Kaia and Abaron when they retired in the early 1970’s. The couple had run the café and accommodation at Krokstrand since 1939.

The house, which is beautifully situated on the riverbank, was renovated in 2020. Today it is a cosy, fully-equipped holiday home with a private garden. It’s perfect for a family or two couples.

GUNNARHUSET

Gunnarhuset is a large holiday home with room for 6-7 people. Excellent starting point for the beautiful nature around us.

Pleasant private garden/outdoor area where both 2- and 4-legged friends can stay
Perfect for hunting teams, groups of friends or families.
In the conservatory, which is part of the entrance area, there is plenty of space to hang clothes and shoes that need to be aired. For those dogs who prefer to sleep outside, the conservatory is absolutely perfect.

Pets are of course also welcome in the house, we greatly appreciate that animals do not have access to furniture and beds.
Pet fee/extra cleaning is added to the rental price

The house contains:
4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with sink and shower. Toilet in separate room.
The kitchen is well equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher, cooker, kettle, large fridge, small freezer for the day’s catch, cutlery, saucepans, frying pans etc.
The living room is spacious and there is plenty of space both in the sofa and around the dining table. TV with satellite and Wifi

There is a wood-burning stove in the living room and firewood can be collected from the outhouse if needed.

The house can be rented on a weekly basis. Fewer days can be discussed.

FOREST AND MOUNTAIN ACCOMMODATION

Brennheia

Brennheia is a basic camping cabin that is perfect for, for example, a hunting group of 3 people and dogs.

The cabin includes:
3 comfortable single beds with bedding, Wardrobe, Dining table with chairs, Small refrigerator, Some cups and dishes
The cabin does not have running water

In the service building, located about 50 meters away, there is a small kitchen where you can cook your meals. Additionally, there are showers, toilets, a washing machine, and a dryer in the same building.

Pets are welcome, and we appreciate it if they do not have access the beds. A pet fee/extra cleaning charge of NOK 200 applies as a one-time fee.

KLATREPARK HYTTA – A CABIN BY THE CLIMBING PARK

Newly renovated (completed July 2022)

Down by the river, we have two log cabins that have been renovated. These are rented out as a single unit. It’s virtually inside the “High & Low” climbing park.

One section of the unit houses the sleeping quarters, while the other consists of a living room and a kitchenette. The tap has cold running water.

Between the two sections is a nice grassy terrace. The climbing park’s zip line passes right over the terrace.

The campinggrounds are close to the Climbing park and the pineforest.

You can take a lovely stroll in the evening by the river to Silfossen. In Silfossen you can bathe in the river and in some big kettles or try your luck with fishing.

Playground with a trampoline and a minigolf course can be used from the morning until 22:00 in the evening.
